Galvanized sheet production process
Steel plate preparation: Select a steel plate that meets the requirements as the base material, usually a low carbon steel plate. The steel plate is then pre-treated to remove oil and rust to ensure the cleanliness of the surface of the base material.
Galvanized sheet is a material that uses steel plate as the base material and coats the surface with a layer of zinc to increase the corrosion resistance and service life of the steel plate. Its production process mainly includes the following steps:
1. Steel plate preparation: Select a steel plate that meets the requirements as the base material, usually a low carbon steel plate. The steel plate is then pre-treated to remove oil and rust to ensure the cleanliness of the surface of the base material.
2. Pickling: The pre-treated steel plate is immersed in an acidic solution for pickling to remove oxides, rust and other impurities on the surface of the steel plate. Pickling helps improve the surface quality and galvanizing effect of steel plates.
3. Soaking: Immerse the pickled steel plate into a zinc chloride solution of appropriate concentration, so that a layer of zinc layer precursor is adsorbed on the surface of the steel plate.
4. Drying: Take out the soaked steel plate from the zinc chloride solution, and use drying equipment to evaporate the moisture on its surface for subsequent galvanizing operations.
5. Melt dip plating: The dried steel plate is immersed in the molten zinc liquid. Through continuous immersion in the zinc liquid, flipping up and down, etc., the surface of the steel plate is fully contacted with the zinc liquid, so that the zinc element is deposited on the surface of the steel plate to form zinc layer. This process usually uses a hot-dip galvanizing process.
6. Cooling: Take the zinc-coated steel plate out of the molten zinc liquid and quickly cool it through cooling equipment to quickly solidify and solidify the galvanized layer.
7. Inspection: Inspect galvanized sheets, including testing the thickness, adhesion, surface finish and other properties of the galvanized layer to ensure that the quality of galvanized sheets meets standard requirements.
8. Cutting and processing: According to customer needs, galvanized sheets are cut and processed to fit the required size and shape.
9. Packaging and storage: Pack the cut and processed galvanized sheets to prevent damage to the surface galvanized layer. It is then stored in a dry, ventilated and moisture-proof warehouse to ensure that the quality of the galvanized sheet is not compromised.
In general, the production process of galvanized sheets includes steps such as steel sheet preparation, pickling, soaking, drying, molten dip plating, cooling, inspection, cutting and processing, packaging and storage. Strict operation and control of these steps can ensure the production of galvanized sheet products with stable quality and excellent performance.
